Featured listings are available to verified teachers. If your certificate cannot be confirmed with its issuer, we refund your Featured payment less the €4.90 checking fee, and your listing goes live as a Basic listing. A Featured period starts on the day your listing goes live, not the day you pay, and renews each month or year until you cancel. All prices are in euros.
Check your certificate is on the accepted list
Verified and Featured are for certificates on our accepted list, for a general TEFL or TESOL course of at least 120 hours. The list includes eTEFL Online Teacher Training, CELTA, DELTA and Trinity CertTESOL, along with other course providers and awarding bodies.
Not on the list? You can still join with a free Basic listing and put your course forward for review. Nothing is charged.
- A person checks every certificate. You upload a scan or a clear photo on the sign-up form. Only we see it.
- We confirm it with its issuer. The badge appears once the certificate has been confirmed.
- The fee pays for that check. The €4.90 is charged once, and it is not refunded if the certificate cannot be confirmed.
- Your badge says what was checked. It names your qualification and its issuer in plain words.

Nothing goes live automatically. A person reads every application, and we aim to reply within 3 working days.

Students find you in search, read your profile and book on your own calendar. They pay you directly.
Questions teachers ask
Do you take a commission on my lessons?
No. Students book through your own calendar link and pay you directly. We do not handle lesson payments and we do not take a share of them.
What if my certificate is not on the accepted list?
You can still join with a free Basic listing, and nothing is charged. On the sign-up form, choose "My certificate isn't listed" and tell us which course you took. We look at every course that is put forward. If we add it to the list, we will write to invite you to get verified.
What if my certificate cannot be confirmed?
Your listing goes live as a Basic listing, without the badge. The €4.90 checking fee is not refunded, because the check has been carried out. If you paid for Featured, we refund that payment less the €4.90 fee.
Can I start free and upgrade later?
Yes. You can add verification to a Basic listing, or move from Verified to Featured, whenever you choose. Email us when you are ready.
What do the promotional campaigns involve?
From time to time we run social media campaigns that promote the directory and show a selection of current Featured teachers. Campaigns run in periods rather than every month, and the teachers shown rotate.
Can I cancel Featured?
Yes. Your listing stays Featured until the end of the period you have paid for. After that it carries on as a Verified listing and you keep your badge.
Is there a minimum or maximum rate?
The lowest hourly rate you can set is €10. There is no upper limit.
